The Roque family is made up of four members, both parents receive income and the monthly family income is approximately 10,000 Cuban pesos. Most of the food products are obtained through agricultural fairs, stores in freely convertible currency or the informal market. They prefer seafood, pasta and fried rice, the father is the one who usually cooks. They usually eat out once or twice a month in restaurants or private cafeterias, their ritual is to sit together at the table.
