Do you have pets at home?

Yes

What kind of pets do you have? Since when do you live with them?

A bitch (Tibetan Pekingese). Since a year ago.

What does your pet eat? How many times a day do you feed her? How do you prepare your food?

Eat everything in the house. We serve you food twice a day. We cook the food for you just like ourselves.

Who is in charge of getting him food?

The mother of the house.

How do you value the exercise of providing for your pet? Has it gotten better or worse in the last two years?

Difficult, very difficult, just like our food. It has gotten worse over time.

Did you have pets during the nineties? How different was it then from now?

Yes, I had a dog. It was easier to get her food, but not much easier than now.

Did you have farm animals in the 1990s (chickens, pigs, rabbits, etc.)? Should they have been slaughtered for family consumption?

Yes, we had rabbits that had to be used for household food in the absence of protein for dinner.

Did you consider them pets at the time?

Yes, they were treated as such.

What other experiences did you have about feeding animals in coexistence with humans during the accentuated supply in the nineties?

People had to do a lot of raising farm animals at home to feed the family.

There were many rumors that were the product of imagination and necessity, which linked stray animals, zoo animals, which one do you know from that time?

It was said a lot, that stray cats were eaten, or mice instead of chicken in restaurants.

As the owner of a pet, what do you think is missing in the Cuban market for animal feed?

food in general
